Individual, team and league awards for the 2007 season will be announced and presented at the BSF AGM on Saturday, March 15, and the BSF Executive is now calling for nominations for the following awards:

The Glover Cup. This is awarded annually for long-term and outstanding service to Softball by an individual in a non-playing capacity.

The Glover Cup League Award. This is presented annually for innovative and progressive development by a softball league.

The President’s Club Award. This award is presented annually for innovative and progressive development by a softball club or team.

The Adult Coach of the Year Trophy. This award is presented annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution as a coach or coach-trainer in adult slowpitch and/or fastpitch softball.

The Youth Coach of the Year Trophy. This award is presented annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution as a coach or coach-trainer at youth level in slowpitch and/or fastpitch softball.

The Tournament Umpire of the Year Award. This is presented to a BASU umpire for outstanding and consistent performance at tournaments over the course of the season.

The deadline for nominations for these awards to be received is Friday, February 22, 2008. Nominations, with supporting information about why the nominee deserves the award, should be sent to Liz Graham through the BSF Contacts webpage.
