Seems to be an alarming trend forming in Division 1 with Dodgers top of the league after two forfeits and Berties second with one win and one forfeit. Why do teams not want to play against these two? They may well be 'too good' for that Division given their experienced players but we'll never find out if no one stands up and challenges them!?!

I know Div 1 has a rest next week (must be tiring in the rarefied atmosphere of Div 1 ), but the week after I doubt will have any forfeits going to either of these teams - there are Div 1 teams out there looking for a scalp & as the cliches go, they have nothing to lose, whereas the Dogders & Berties have everything to lose .......
There is always the possibility the the Dodgers & Berties, being ex premier teams with big premier division budgets, are offering 'incentives' to their lower division 'rivals' in order to get back into the premiership

I was going to suggest the same regarding the forfeit situation yesterday. I have had no emails asking for spare players to guest for any team that was struggling so it must be the case of avoidance

If any team forfeits against you, give the Hangovers a shout (ideally a day before) and I'll see if we have a team available to play - at least your players would get the benefit of a game.

It is really annoying when forfeits happen.

The Nuts have been screwed over in the past with their rivals getting forfeits against teams that would provide a tough game!

Oh well, will see how it turns out for the end of the season.

Hopefully these other Div one teams can get up there and challenge the Dodgers and Berties.

Monday? Sh!t I thought it was Tuesday. Thanks for the heads up! I will get our excuses in now as a few of us are over in Glasgow playing the Tartan Tournament. So, like Rangers it may be one game too many in what has been a long season.....

Must say, it has been a bit strange with so many forfeits so early on this season in Div 1, although us Berts have been struggling for players ourselves! Agree with Biff though, there's plenty of people out there that are willing to ring (even the "experienced players" of Dodgers and Berts) so am very surprised that if teams are struggling that they dont ask round. Or are they really THAT scared

Am surprised if they are, as damn straight we have everything to loose! We played with 9 on a few occasions last year in Prem and still came close to winning... we gave a few scares ourselves and that only gave us more confidence. Give us a challenge this year and you may surprise yourselves how well you do!! Maybe the win against against the Hangovers was so convincing (Sorry Biff!) cos we hadnt played for a few weeks and were just gagging for it??? Haha! Guess we'll never know!

All I can say is that we have realised that "its only a game" after being skelped so many times last season

Cant do much about last minute call offs I guess! Bank Holiday and as More Nuts were playing but had their own call offs we couldnt even get player or two off them!

I think the Hangovers had an off day, there will be an oportunity to exact some revenge before the season is over....you have to feel for the poor Hawks as they got the brunt of it on Wed
